Women need to transform strongly in the digital age

On the morning of December 6, at the Quang Tri Provincial Center for Culture and Cinema, the 1st Quang Tri Provincial Women's Congress, term 2025-2030, officially opened.

Attending and directing the congress, on the central side there was Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Huong - Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union. On the provincial side, there were Mr. Nguyen Dang Quang - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Nguyen Chien Thang - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; along with members of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, representatives of departments, branches and 250 official delegates, representing more than 422,000 members and women in the province.

In her opening speech, Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Thuy - Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, President of the Women's Union of Quang Tri province - emphasized that the Women's Congress of Quang Tri province for the 2025-2030 term is an important political event, demonstrating the need for innovation of associations at all levels in the new context.

Ms. Thuy believes that this is an opportunity for the association to continue to innovate the content and methods of operation, promote the tradition of humanity and affection, and affirm the role of women in building the Party, the political system and local development.

With the motto "Solidarity - Confidence - Innovation - Development", the congress will evaluate the results of implementing the resolution for the 2021-2025 term, and at the same time determine the direction and tasks for the 2025-2030 period to promote the women's movement, build a strong and professional and effective Association organization; contribute to gender equality and build a prosperous and happy Quang Tri province.

At the opening session, Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Huong and Mr. Nguyen Chien Thang suggested that the Associations at all levels continue to take the legitimate and legal rights and interests of women as the highest goal.

In the context of the province's goal of becoming a new growth pole, the Association needs to build a model of new-era women with the qualities: "Loving the country - self-reliance - Intelligence - Digital - Green", associated with digital transformation and sustainable business.

Speaking at the congress, Mr. Nguyen Chien Thang praised the achievements of provincial women in the past term and pointed out the limitations that need to be overcome. Mr. Thang suggested that the congress deeply analyze the subjective causes to propose breakthrough solutions, in line with strategic goals.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Huong also requested all levels of the Women's Union of Quang Tri province to closely follow the province's resolution, focusing on effectively implementing the Campaign "Building a 5-no, 3-clean, 3-safe family", the model "Safe home"; concretizing the movement "Building Vietnamese women of the new era" with the criteria: Love for the country - Self-reliance - Intelligence - Number - Green.
