Mr. Lam Phong Thuy becomes Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tay Nam Ward, Ho Chi Minh City
HCMC - On October 24, the first Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Tay Nam Ward and socio-political organizations of the ward for the 2025-2030 term took place.
The conference announced the report on the results of the first Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) of the Southwest Ward (HCMC) for the 2025 - 2030 term.
At the first conference, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward unanimously agreed to appoint positions in the Standing Committee. In which, Mr. Lam Phong Thuy is the Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward.
The Congress also announced the results of the first delegation conference for the 2025-2030 term of socio-political organizations and announced decisions on personnel work including: Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Le - Permanent Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward to hold the position of Chairman of the Women's Union of the ward; Mr. Huynh Ngoc Chau - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward to hold the position of Chairman of the Ward Trade Union; Mr. Vo Minh Nhut - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward to hold the position of Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of the ward; Mr. Nguyen Tuan Anh - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward to hold the position of Chairman of the Ward Veterans Association; Mr. Phan Nguyen Minh Phuong - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward to hold the position of Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward.
At the congress, Mr. Bui Thanh Nhan - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation - presented 200 million VND to carry out social security care work in the Southwest ward.
The Congress also raised donations to support people affected by storms and floods with the amount of 22.3 million VND, and mobilized support for the Cuban people with the amount of 98.7 million VND.
The ward has 3 industrial parks with more than 43,000 workers
It is known that Tay Nam ward has a natural area of 11,472 hectares with a total population of 61,822 people. The ward has 3 concentrated industrial parks and dozens of goods factories outside the industrial park with over 43,361 workers.
