Mr. Hoang Cong Thuy received Chairman of the National Council of the Cambodia Fatherland Front for Solidarity and Development

The meeting continued on the occasion of the visit and attendance at the 8th session between the Ministry of National Defense of Vietnam and the National Council of the Cambodian Fatherland Front for Solidarity and Development.

Expressing her pleasure at meeting Ms. Men Sam On on the occasion of her visit and work in Vietnam, Vice President Hoang Cong Thuy conveyed warm regards and health wishes from Mr. Do Van Chien - Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee of the Fatherland Front, Central organizations, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front - to Ms. Men Sam On and thanked her for sending condolences, visits and expressing solidarity in the face of the heavy damage caused by floods and natural disasters in some localities of Vietnam in the recent past.

Vice President Hoang Cong Thuy was pleased to see that the relationship between the two countries has developed well in recent times through high-level delegation exchanges, including the meeting between the three heads of the three Parties of Vietnam - Cambodia - Laos in February 2025; the meeting between President Hun Sen and General Secretary To Lam and senior leaders of Vietnam on the occasion of attending the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day on April 30, 2025 and the 80th Anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2.

I believe that based on the achievements achieved along with promoting the implementation of existing cooperation mechanisms, the good neighborly relationship between the two countries will increasingly develop, cooperation will become more practical and effective in the coming years, said Mr. Hoang Cong Thuy.

On this occasion, Vice President Hoang Cong Thuy also highly appreciated the positive contributions of the Cambodian Fatherland Front for Solidarity in the consolidation and enhancement of the traditional neighborly relationship of solidarity, friendship and good cooperation between Vietnam - Cambodia in general and between the two countries in particular.

Especially in propagating and educating the people of the two countries, especially the younger generation, about the relationship of solidarity and attachment, ready to sacrifice each other through many ups and downs in history and the responsibility of both sides in preserving this precious asset for future generations.

Vice President Hoang Cong Thuy hopes that in the coming time, the parties will continue to effectively implement the Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation Program between the three organizations of the Cambodian-Laos-Vietnam Front signed in April 2023 in the Lao People's Democratic Republic; coordinate with the Cambodian Fatherland Development Solidarity Front to successfully organize the 7th International Conference on the construction of the Vietnam-Cambodia border for peace, friendship, and mutual development cooperation in Cambodia in 2026.

Vice Chairman Hoang Cong Thuy suggested that, in her role, Ms. Men Sam On should continue to support and promote the early completion of the demarcation and marking of the land border to build a peaceful, friendly, cooperative and developing border, bringing practical benefits to the people of the two countries; at the same time, she hoped that the Cambodian side would continue to pay attention to and implement solutions to remove difficulties for people of Vietnamese origin in Cambodia, help people stabilize their lives, integrate into the host country, actively contribute to the development of Cambodia and act as a bridge of friendship between the two countries...

Ms. Men Sam On congratulated the Party, State, Fatherland Front and people of Vietnam on the outstanding achievements in economy, security, politics and defense that Vietnam has achieved and thanked Vietnam for the great help that Vietnam has helped her country over the past decades.

Ms. Men Sam On also highly agreed with the exchanges and proposals of Vice President Hoang Cong Thuy on issues such as: Supporting Vietnamese people living in Cambodia, searching for the remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers sacrificed in Cambodia, enhancing regional cooperation, especially effectively implementing memorandums of understanding and cooperation chapters between the three Front organizations: Cambodia - Laos - Vietnam; organizing the 7th International Conference on the construction of the Vietnam - Cambodia border in Cambodia in 2026.
