Dr. Vo Van Son was born in 1987 into a poor family in Binh Trung commune, Chau Thanh district, Tien Giang province, now Binh Trung commune, Dong Thap province. To go to school, Son had to do many jobs from housework assistant, tutoring to catching snails, picking field vegetables... In 2010, after graduating from the Literature pedagogy major at Tien Giang University, Son was kept by the school as an official. Having just completed his PhD in cultural studies (2024), and participated in the implementation of 10 provincial and grassroots-level scientific research topics; published 50 scientific articles that achieved ISSN and ISBN indexes..., Son also researched and found positive and modern teaching organization methods, such as: presiding over CDIO approach methods, directly teaching using e-learning, deploying software as well as online teaching models. Son proactively connected and joined hands with philanthropists to organize more than 200 charity programs... supporting more than 1,000 scholarships, building 10 "Houses of Friendship", supporting students to treat diseases... with a total budget of more than 3 billion VND...
With that typical achievement, from 2011 to now, Dr. Vo Van Son has continuously been awarded many noble emulation titles: Grassroots Emulation Soldier; Advanced Youth Following Uncle Ho's Words, Typical Young Party Member, Typical Young Civil Servant, Typical Young Lecturer Following Uncle Ho's Words, Typical Youth, Good Labor, Creative Labor in the period 2012-2016 and 2016-2018, Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister; Certificate of Merit for Good Labor, Creative Labor from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
