In recent days, storm No. 10 and floods after the storm caused flash floods, landslides, and deep flooding in many northern and north central provinces such as Thua Thien Hue, Quang Tri, Ha Tinh, Nghe An, Thanh Hoa, Ninh Binh, Tuyen Quang, Lao Cai, Son La... The total preliminary damage has exceeded 10,000 billion VND.

From Da Nang, responding to the City Party Committee's call for donations to support people affected by storm No. 10, more than 200 delegates who are secretaries and chairmen of 94 communes, wards and special zones donated 100 million VND at a conference. Immediately afterwards, the City Front launched a relief effort and donated 6 billion VND to support 4 provinces that suffered heavy damage: Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh and Quang Tri.

Along with all levels and authorities, sharing also comes from the fates of people who make a living in many circumstances. In the afternoon, the lottery ticket seller at Ton Duc Thang intersection (Huong Tra ward) stopped in front of the reception point, quickly removed the change hidden in the envelope, saying, "I'll give you a little, I hope you'll be fine soon". Without the full name, she turned around, pulled the raincoat, and continued to mix with the traffic. Inside, a 10th grade male student placed on the table a few boxes of instant noodles collected from friends, exclaiming: "I bought them with money to save. She and her uncle sent them to help the flooded areas. Those small contributions add up to a large resource.

Also on social networks, the calls of Mr. Huynh Ba Dien - representative of the Group "I love the highlands" - received hundreds of shares. Nghe An relief plan is being rushed: 500 boxes of noodles, 500 bags of rice, 1,000 life jackets, 500 packages of dry food with clothes, warm blankets.

"We can't do anything too big. But transparency, directness, is the only thing. Whoever contributed, we transferred that portion to the people, said Mr. Dien. As planned, on the evening of October 10, the group departed; the volunteers supported their travel expenses, so that all the money and goods could be donated to those in need.

Directly to flood relief areas

The SOS Da Nang team - a volunteer group familiar with relief trips - these days operates like... no watches. The two gathering points at 34 My An (Ngu Hanh Son) and 26 Ton Duc Thang (Thanh Khe) were bustling with people bringing instant noodles, drinking water, warm blankets, and life jackets. On the night of October 4, the cargo truck turned on the lights through the rain, leaving Da Nang to the North. Mr. Dang Ngoc Tien, a member of the team, said: "We are not afraid of the dark and flooded roads, we just hope to go early to catch the people's hand. Each gift is a message from Da Nang people".

As soon as they arrived in Nghe An, the team gave 100 gifts and cash to Tan Ky commune, 100 gifts to Truong Tho commune; then, in Ha Tinh, each Lam Thanh commune, Duc Tho received 50 gifts with 500,000 VND in cash. Not-only trips: many other volunteer groups in Da Nang have quietly accompanied, adding dry food, raincoats, and flashlights.

Unable to go directly to the flooded area because of his busy work, Mr. Nguyen Minh Tuan - Head of Hoa Tu Bi Group - immediately called in the network, sending tons of necessities to the SOS Team. "Each person put one hand in a big raft so that the people could cling to the strong water," he said.
