At the ceremony, on behalf of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai launched a campaign to support people affected by storms and floods.
Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai said that in recent days, people in the Central Highlands region have struggled to cope with particularly heavy floods, causing heavy damage to people and property, especially in the provinces and cities: Dak Lak, Lam Dong, Khanh Hoa, Gia Lai, Da Nang. Up to now, the damage caused by floods has caused dozens of people to be lost and missing; over 52,000 houses were deeply flooded; 167 houses were damaged; more than 13,000 hectares of crops and over 2,000 hectares of perennial trees were flooded; more than 30,000 livestock and poultry were swept away by floods; many communes are still isolated; the North-South traffic roads were cut off due to serious landslides.
In that situation, the Politburo, the Secretariat, and General Secretary To Lam urgently and promptly directed the response work. The Government and the Prime Minister have issued many urgent telegrams of direction. Localities, military and police forces have quickly deployed rescue work, all set safety targets for the people, and above all, ensured that people have food, water, and clothes.
On behalf of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, I would like to send my condolences and share the pain of the families whose relatives have passed away; I would like to share with the families who lost their homes, crops, and property due to floods. We respectfully pay tribute and thank the soldiers of the People's Armed Forces, the rescue team and the simple people who did not take any danger and rushed into the water to protect the lives and property of the people" - Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai expressed.
Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai said that the tradition of loving others as if loving oneself, each other, and showing affection in times of hardship is always a precious value of the Vietnamese people, aroused, preserved and spread by the Vietnam Fatherland Front through many generations. Every time our people encounter difficulties and hardships, that spirit is multiplied and shines. More than ever, the people of the Central - Central Highlands are in great need of a helping hand, timely encouragement from the people of the whole country and our compatriots abroad.
Rebuilding the roofs, rebuilding a new peaceful life
Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai said that with the responsibility, affection and sacred duty of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in gathering the strength of great national unity, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front continues to launch a national campaign to support the people of the Central - Central Highlands to overcome the consequences of floods.
We strongly call on front member organizations, from the central to the grassroots level, State agencies, enterprises, cadres, civil servants, workers, businessmen, artists, intellectuals, our compatriots abroad and especially every Vietnamese person in all regions of the country to promote the tradition of humanity, share and support flood victims to overcome this difficult time, help people have more resources to overcome the consequences, soon stabilize their lives, rebuild production and return to normal life - Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai called for.

Affirming that natural disasters can rob property and destroy villages, but cannot rob humanity, cannot extinguish the sacred fire of solidarity of the Vietnamese people, Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai expressed her belief: "With a thousand-year-old tradition of humanity, with a heart for sharing from all over the country, we will work together to help the people of the Central Highlands to soon overcome difficulties, rebuild their houses, and rebuild a new, peaceful life".
Responding to the call of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, at the launching ceremony, many agencies, organizations and units joined hands to support people in flooded areas with an amount of over 112.6 billion VND. Of which, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor donated 4 billion VND.

On November 21, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha - Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice President - General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front visited and encouraged people in flooded areas of Dien Tho commune. Accompanying him was Mr. Nguyen Khac Ha - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Khanh Hoa province.
According to the leader of Dien Tho commune, the flood water has receded, but some places in the commune are still flooded, traffic is cut off such as: Da Luoi Pass, Sai Me Pass, Phuoc Tuy 1 and Phuoc Tuy 2 villages... Hundreds of households in the commune need to provide more food, food, and drinking water to serve their daily needs.
Visiting and encouraging people in flooded areas at a gathering place, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha expressed her affection and deep sharing of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for Khanh Hoa province, the local Fatherland Front system and all people in flooded areas. At the same time, I hope that after the rain stops and the water recedes, all levels of government, the Vietnam Fatherland Front of the province and commune will quickly focus on supporting and overcoming the consequences of floods, helping people soon stabilize their lives and activities.
On this occasion, leaders of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Khanh Hoa province presented nearly 300 boxes of necessities (including instant noodles, drinking water, milk, cakes) to people in flooded areas of Dien Tho commune.
On the same day, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Khanh Hoa province also transported and supported 540 boxes of necessities for people in flooded areas of Dien Lac commune and 600 boxes of necessities for people in Khanh Vinh, Tay Khanh Vinh, and Nam Khanh Vinh communes. Ha Anh
