More than 1,000 houses in Lao Cai are supported for repair and construction after natural disasters

Lao Cai - The locality has supported the repair and construction of more than 1,000 houses damaged by natural disasters, helping people in affected areas to soon stabilize their lives.

On December 16, information from Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee, as of 4:00 p.m. on December 14, the whole province has deployed housing support for 1,048/1,137 houses damaged by natural disasters in 2025, reaching a rate of over 92%.

According to the report of the Department of Agriculture and Environment, out of a total of 1,137 affected houses, 83 houses collapsed, drifted, or completely collapsed; 373 houses were subject to emergency relocation and rebuilding of new houses; 61 houses were severely damaged and 620 houses had their roofs blown off, damaged from 30% of the roof area or more.
