Gia Lai spends 6 billion VND to support provinces devastated by storm Bualoi
Gia Lai donated 6 billion VND to support 5 provinces that suffered heavy damage caused by storm Bualoi.
On October 1, the People's Committee of Gia Lai province decided to support 6 billion VND for provinces heavily affected by storm Bualoi (storm No. 10), to overcome the consequences of natural disasters.
According to the People's Committee of Gia Lai province, storm No. 10 has caused great damage in many localities in the North and North Central regions. Thousands of houses in Quang Tri, Ha Tinh, Nghe An, Thanh Hoa and Son La had their roofs blown off and damaged; many trees and infrastructure works fell, seriously affecting people's lives.
Showing the spirit of solidarity and sharing difficulties with people in storm-hit areas, the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Gia Lai province decided to support Thanh Hoa province with 1 billion VND, Nghe An with 1 billion VND, Quang Tri with 1 billion VND, Son La with 1 billion VND and Ha Tinh with 2 billion VND.
Gia Lai province expressed its confidence that with the attention of the Party and the State, the timely support of localities across the country, the spirit of solidarity and the will to rise up of the people, the provinces will overcome difficulties, soon overcome the consequences, and stabilize people's lives.
Millions of arms turn to compatriots affected by storms and floods
Consecutive storms 8, 9, 10 and floods caused by the storm have killed many people and left many people missing. Many houses and production and business establishments had their roofs blown off and suffered heavy damage. People across the northern and central mountainous provinces are struggling to cope with floods and heavy losses in human lives and property due to floods and thunderstorms.
