First Congress of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Fatherland Front Committee Party Committee

Accordingly, on the afternoon of July 25, the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front Committee (FFF) of Thanh Hoa province held its first Congress, term 2025 - 2030. This is the first congress held after completing the merger of Party organizations under the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and socio-political organizations at the provincial level, aiming to streamline the apparatus, improve the effectiveness and efficiency of operations according to the policies of the Central and the province.

The Party Committee of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Fatherland Front Committee was established under Decision No. 168-QD/DU dated July 11, 2025 of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Provincial Party Agencies. At the time of its establishment, the Party Committee consisted of 12 Party cells with 186 Party members.

According to the political report at the congress, immediately after the establishment decision, the Party Committee of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee quickly improved the organization and held a conference to announce the decision to establish the Party Committee, appointing key positions of the Party Committee in accordance with regulations.

The Congress focused on evaluating the results of work in the past time, frankly pointing out the limitations, and at the same time determining the direction and tasks for the new term. In particular, emphasizing key contents such as: continuing to diversify forms of propaganda, gathering, mobilizing union members, association members and people of all walks of life; promoting the strength of the great national unity bloc; improving the effectiveness of campaigns and patriotic emulation movements.

In addition, the congress aims to improve the quality of social supervision and criticism; implement democracy, prevent corruption, negativity, and waste; participate in building a clean and strong Party and government. The Party Committee also determined to continue to expand and improve the effectiveness of people's foreign affairs work; strongly innovate the organization, content and methods of operation of the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations; improve the capacity of the Front staff in the new period.

The Congress has set out 18 main targets on political tasks and Party building work, along with 3 key groups of solutions to successfully achieve the set goals.

At the congress, delegates approved the list of appointments of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee of the Provincial Party Agencies for the Executive Committee and the Standing Committee of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee for the 2025-2030 term. Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong - Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee - was appointed to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee. The Congress also appointed 27 delegates to attend the first Provincial Party Congresses, and at the same time approved the Congress Resolution for implementation in the next term.
