Primary school teacher joins hands to cook free meals to help people in flooded areas
Nghe An - Amid the flooding surrounding Tan Ky commune, the affectionate meals of a primary school teacher warmed the hearts of people in flooded areas.
In recent days, prolonged heavy rains have caused many communes in Tan Ky (Nghe An) to be submerged in water. Hundreds of roofs were deeply flooded, many belongings were swept away, people had to live in poverty, struggling to eat every meal and sleep.
Sharing with people in flooded areas, teachers at Tan Ky Primary School joined hands with the kitchen team, wrapped the hot rice and sent it to people struggling to cope with the flood.
The meaningful meals have helped people in flooded areas ease their difficulties, adding motivation to overcome the consequences of natural disasters.
Mr. Hoang Dinh Son - Chairman of Tan Ky Commune People's Committee said: "During the rainy and flood days, the commune government mobilized maximum forces to support the people. In particular, teachers cooking meaningful meals not only helps people stabilize their lives in the short term but also spreads the spirit of solidarity and humanity. This is a beautiful image, a great source of encouragement for us and the people to be more confident in overcoming difficulties".
Due to the impact of storm No. 10, Tan Ky commune was heavily flooded, thousands of houses were submerged in floodwater, causing huge property damage. Currently, relief work is being urgently carried out.

Consecutive storms No. 8, 9, 10 and floods caused by the storm have killed 19 people and many people are missing. Many houses and production and business establishments had their roofs blown off and suffered heavy damage. People across the northern and central mountainous provinces are struggling to cope with floods and heavy losses in human lives and property due to floods and thunderstorms.
