Border elections, village elders, and prestigious people participate in propaganda
Gia Lai - With the participation of village elders and prestigious people, the awareness of border people about elections has had many positive changes.
On March 10, before the election day, the Police of border communes in Gia Lai province closely coordinated with armed forces and local authorities to ensure absolute security and order for the all-people festival.
Gia Lai has a long border, with 7 communes bordering Cambodia. The terrain of this area is complex, with many trails and open paths across the border.
The majority of the population are ethnic minorities, living scattered, many households often stay in the fields for many days, even weeks. This makes it difficult for people to access information about candidate lists, voting procedures and the meaning of election days.
In addition, the border area also poses a political security risk when hostile forces often take advantage of it to propagate heresy, incite division of the great national unity bloc, especially during important political events of the country.

Implementing the direction of the Director of the Provincial Police, the Police of border communes have proactively developed plans to protect election safety with a specific roadmap.
The focus is on strengthening coordination between the police, border guards and local military forces in patrolling and controlling the area.
Inter-sectoral patrol teams are maintained 24/24 hours to strictly control the border line, promptly detect and prevent illegal entry and illegal acts.
Commune police promote residence management, grasp households, grasp people, review population, ensure that all eligible citizens are eligible to participate in elections according to regulations.
The Police force of border communes also strengthened the dissemination of the Election Law to each village and hamlet. The content of propaganda focused on the rights and obligations of voters, voting time and location, the principle of secret ballot, as well as the method of selecting typical delegates.
With the participation of village elders and prestigious people, the awareness of people in border areas about elections has had many positive changes. People are excited and ready to participate in the great festival of the whole people, contributing to selecting worthy delegates to represent the will and aspirations of the people.
