Bac Ninh supports 20 billion VND for 17 communes and wards in flooded areas

Bac Ninh province provided emergency support of 20 billion VND to help people overcome floods.

To promptly support people in flooded areas to stabilize their lives, the Bac Ninh Provincial Relief Mobilization Committee (Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Bac Ninh province) has allocated the first phase of 20 billion VND to provide emergency support to people in 17 communes and wards.

This amount was taken from the Fund of the Bac Ninh Provincial Relief Mobilization Committee. 17 communes and wards are urgently supported including: Yen The, Bo Ha, Dong Ky, Xuan Luong, Tam Tien, Tam Giang, Kinh Bac, Van Ha, Nenh, Hop Thinh, Hoang Van, Xuan Cam, My Thai, Kep, Tien Luc, Lang Giang, Tan An.

The support will be transferred to the account of the Relief Mobilization Committee or the Fatherland Front Committees of communes and wards to promptly purchase food, medicine, drinking water, environmental sanitation, water treatment, disinfection after natural disasters and other urgent necessities.

According to information from the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province on the morning of October 10, the water level on the Thuong and Cau rivers is currently decreasing slowly. Major dykes have been threatened by floodwaters in recent days, and the situation is now under control, ensuring safety.

"Today, the forces continue to reinforce the filled areas and organize the transportation of necessities for people in isolated areas; organize cleaning of receding water areas, continue to be on duty in key areas ready for timely rescue," said the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province.

The Bac Ninh Provincial Hydrometeorological Station forecasts that floods in the next 24 hours: at Cau Son, Phu Lang Thuong, Dap Cau stations, Phuc Loc Phuong will continue to recede slowly at level above alert level 3.
