Ms. Hoang Thi Thu Huong holds the position of President of the Da Nang Women's Union

At the 1st Da Nang City Women's Congress, term 2025-2030 held today - December 9), Ms. Hoang Thi Thu Huong continued to be elected to hold the position of President of the Da Nang City Women's Union for the term 2025-2030.

During the past term, the Women's Union of Da Nang City at all levels has promoted innovation in content and methods of operation. Many programs are implemented in conjunction with the legitimate needs and aspirations of members and women. Digital transformation work is focused on, contributing to maintaining the core role of the Association in mobilizing and gathering women of all classes to participate in implementing political tasks and developing the city's socio-economy.

The emulation movement "Building Vietnamese women of the new era" is widely deployed, associated with the movement "Each member - a beautiful gesture, each Association organization - a meaningful action". The Association at all levels creates a spreading force through many specific and practical activities; actively participates in national target programs, especially in building new rural areas, sustainable poverty reduction and supporting the development of ethnic minority and mountainous areas.

Thousands of disadvantaged women have been supported with livelihoods, vocational training, loans, and health insurance. Many economic models dominated by women have become bright spots, contributing to economic growth and improving life. Social security work is regularly implemented, notably the "Sisters" Program with mobilized resources of more than 80 billion VND, supporting 2,588 orphans. The program "Accompanying women in the border area" continues to spread with many activities aimed at women of ethnic minorities, mountainous areas, and border areas.

Speaking at the Congress, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Vinh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee, highly appreciated the Association's spirit of innovation in the past term. He suggested that the Association continue to review each group of subjects and area to advise on specific social security policies, especially social housing, preferential credit, support for the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses for poor women and single women; at the same time, deploy scholarships and support girls to go to school.

Mr. Vinh emphasized that the Association needs to promote its core role in mobilizing women to participate in building the Party and government; accompanying in supporting women in comprehensive development, improving their adaptability in digital transformation and green transformation, ensuring social security for female workers.
