600 disadvantaged women receive free medical examination and early screening for cervical cancer

On December 21, 2025, Thanh Nhan Hospital in collaboration with NAPAS, Mastercard, Payoo and the Vietnam Women's Union organized the program "Touching, Sharing - Giving Hope", implementing a series of health care, consultation and health care activities for disadvantaged women.

The program has created conditions for 600 women to access health care services in a systematic, safe and completely free way.

The highlight of this year's program is the implementation of HPV testing - an important screening method to help detect the early risk of cervical cancer. This is one of the common cancers in women but can be effectively prevented and controlled if detected promptly.

Participating in the program, Ms. Tran Thi Nhu - a worker at Inoue Vietnam Rubber Co., Ltd. (Quang Minh Industrial Park, Hanoi) - expressed her emotion when receiving a systematic cancer screening service for the first time. "Thanks to the program, I understand more clearly the importance of early cancer detection to have the opportunity for timely and effective treatment. I hope that meaningful activities like this will be maintained regularly so that we workers can receive better care and health care" - Ms. Nhu shared.

Sharing the same feelings, Ms. Nguyen Thi Lieu (Hung Yen) said that being examined and consulted for free health has helped her and many women in difficult circumstances feel more secure. "The program creates opportunities for us women to get health screening without having to worry about costs," said Ms. Lieu.

Sharing at the program, BSCKII Nguyen Thi Ngoc Bich - Head of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department of Thanh Nhan Hospital - said: "The program has practical significance, because women are at high risk of breast cancer and cervical cancer. Being screened and checked at the program helps women be more proactive in their health care. Therefore, we hope that women raise their awareness of regular reproductive health check-ups, in order to detect early cancer risks for timely intervention".

The "Touching and Sharing - Giving Hope" program not only brings practical health care opportunities for disadvantaged women but also contributes to raising public awareness of the importance of early cancer screening. Through the cooperation of the hospital, organizations and businesses, the program is expected to continue to be maintained and expanded in the coming time, thereby spreading the message of proactively protecting health and improving the quality of life for women, especially those who are still facing many difficulties in society.
