1,000 banh tet sticks will reach disadvantaged children before the Lunar New Year
Tet Nguyen Dan Binh Ngo 2026, 1,000 banh tet cakes made by people and Vinh Trach ward police will be given to children in difficult circumstances.
The activity of wrapping and giving Tet cakes is implemented from the "Little Heart" model by Vinh Trach Ward Police in coordination with organizations, unions and people in the area.
This is a voluntary activity, stemming from the spirit of sharing, towards poor children during the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year.
The highlight of the activity is the way of mobilization is public, transparent and suitable to the conditions of each person. People with conditions contribute materials such as sticky rice, beans, bananas, banana leaves, tie, firewood for cooking cakes; people without material conditions contribute labor to wrap cakes, guard fire, and transport.
From early morning to late at night, the cake wrapping area becomes bustling with the participation of police officers and soldiers, youth union members, women's union members, students, freelance workers and even monks in the area. Each person does one thing, regardless of age or profession, together towards the common goal of making complete, meaningful Tet cakes.
According to the organizers, all 1,000 banh tet cakes after completion will be sorted and carefully packaged to be handed to children in difficult circumstances, orphans, and children in policy families in the ward before the Lunar New Year.
Captain Ma Quoc Quang - Secretary of the Youth Union of Vinh Trach Ward Police - said that the banh tet wrapping activity is not only aimed at providing material support to disadvantaged children but also has profound educational significance.
“Through together wrapping banh tet, we want to contribute to preserving the traditional culture of the nation, while strengthening the bond between the police force and the people. The most precious thing is that all activities are voluntarily contributed and directly participated in by the people,” Captain Quang shared.
Reality shows that the "Little Heart" model has been creating a positive spread in the community. Not only stopping at Tet cakes, the model also contributes to building trust and consolidating the great national unity bloc, especially in caring for disadvantaged children.
In the bustling atmosphere of the last days of the year, those traditional and meaningful Tet cakes are expected to help disadvantaged children welcome a warmer and more fulfilling Binh Ngo Tet 2026.
