In recent years, in modern factories, creativity comes not only from skillful hands but also from technological thinking, self-learning ability and the desire to master equipment. The story of Mr. Tran Van Manh, an engineer at TH Dairy Joint Stock Company, is a clear proof.

Born in 1994, graduated from Vinh University of Technical Education, Mr. Manh used to work at Saigon Beer Company before joining TH Milk Joint Stock Company in 2018. For him, this is not only a workplace near his hometown but also an environment for a young engineer to develop his abilities and try his hand at modern production lines.

The big turning point in Mr. Manh's career was when he moved from the maintenance department to the improvement department. Old knowledge was no longer enough to meet the requirements of the new job, forcing him to constantly learn and adapt to more complex operating procedures.

In a technical team of more than 100 people, Mr. Manh is supported by colleagues, inspired and helped to clearly define the development path. That environment has added to him the spirit of daring to think, daring to do, turning seemingly impossible things into reality.

Mr. Manh's most prominent mark is the robot project to automatically load milk boxes into containers. The initiative was implemented from September 2022, with him directly researching and completing from the first steps. This project not only helped the business make a profit of more than 13 billion VND but also won the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) award. To date, the system is still operating stably with an efficiency of about 98%.

A special memory for Mr. Manh is the time he and his teammates handled an incident at the ice cream line. Throughout 14 days and nights, the entire technical team almost ate and slept with machinery, dismantling the entire mechanical and control system of foreign equipment to improve according to the operating thinking of TH people.

When the first standard products were born, the brothers hugged each other and burst into tears. That is the happiness of completely mastering the production line, turning foreign designs into our own technology" - Mr. Manh shared.

Not stopping at the successes already achieved, after the CMMS maintenance management system and EPMS power won the Third Prize at WIPO in 2026, Mr. Manh continued to nurture projects applying AI and image processing to further optimize the production process.

Engineer "amateur" in a garment factory

If Tran Van Manh is the image of a young engineer mastering technology in a modern dairy factory, then Mr. Pham Nguyen, a worker at Minh Anh - Kim Lien Garment Joint Stock Company, is an inspiring story about the spirit of self-study and self-training in labor production.

Born in 1984, Mr. Nguyen was originally a maintenance worker, never formally trained in programming or specialized mechanics. However, with perseverance, he mastered many operating techniques and improved complex machines in the factory.

Before associating with Minh Anh - Kim Lien Garment Joint Stock Company, Mr. Nguyen struggled with many jobs in Ho Chi Minh City. In 2007, he decided to learn mechanical repair in Binh Duong with the thought of having a stable job. In 2015, he returned to his hometown, working at the company's maintenance department.

Initially, I was in charge of maintaining about 20 lines. When the company imported many new technology machines, if you want to control them, you must know how to program. There was no other way, I taught myself" - Mr. Nguyen recounted.

From nights of tinkering with programming and learning electronic circuits, Mr. Nguyen gradually stepped into the path of creativity. According to him, pre-programmed software of machines usually only meets basic requirements, while orders are increasingly strict about design and quality. To make the machine run as required, the worker must research the model himself, test each task and improve the process.

One of his typical initiatives is the shirt collar splitting machine. This is a project that cost him a lot of effort but also brought great joy when it was widely applied throughout the group. This solution helps ensure the quality of seams, while saving labor in one production stage.

Although considered a "golden hand" with many initiatives that bring hundreds of millions of dong in profit, Mr. Nguyen still humbly believes that the achievement has great support from leaders and colleagues. For him, the simplest joy is seeing workers operating more lightly, products having fewer errors and shortened production time.

Work with Mr. Nguyen does not end after the closing bell. The house is about 30km from the company, but he still chooses to ride a private motorbike instead of a shuttle bus to be proactive in time, can stay in the research room after work hours, and continue to complete unfinished ideas.

I just need to be creative, no matter how hard it is, I think it's worth it" - Mr. Nguyen said.

From Tran Van Manh to Pham Nguyen, their common point is the spirit of learning, daring to think, daring to do and the desire to master technology. These initiatives not only bring economic value to businesses but also contribute to affirming the new position of Nghe An workers in the period of industrialization and modernization.

With outstanding contributions, Mr. Tran Van Manh and Mr. Pham Nguyen were awarded the "Nghe An Workers Follow Uncle Ho's Words" Award for the first time in 2026 by the Nghe An Provincial Labor Federation.
