Listening to workers and giving gifts to 10 people in difficult circumstances in Thuan An ward
Ho Chi Minh City - On August 24, Thuan An Ward Trade Union said that it has coordinated with units to listen to workers' opinions and give gifts to 10 people in difficult circumstances.
Accordingly, Thuan An Ward Trade Union has coordinated with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (VFF) of the ward, and the grassroots trade union of Shyang Hung Cheng Co., Ltd. to organize a meeting, contact, listening, and direct dialogue with workers.
Attending the program were Ms. Mai Thanh Thao - Member of the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation; Mr. Phan Thai Son - Deputy Secretary of the Ward Party Committee; Ms. Nguyen Ngoc Nhung - Vice Chairman of the Ward People's Council; Ms. Huynh Thi Thu Thuy - Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the Ward; Mr. Vo Tien - Chairman of the Ward Trade Union, along with business officials, grassroots trade union officials and more than 200 trade union members and employees at the company.
At the program, leaders of Thuan An ward listened to the thoughts, aspirations, difficulties, and obstacles of businesses and workers; received contributions, initiatives, and suggestions to contribute to building Thuan An ward.
Thuan An Ward Trade Union said that the program recorded 9 contributions from 7 trade union members and workers on traffic issues, street vendors encroaching on roads and sidewalks, social insurance issues, environment, and landscape at workplaces... The opinions were answered directly at the conference by local leaders and relevant sectors and company leaders.
Notably, local leaders presented 10 gifts to 10 union members and workers in difficult circumstances at the company with a total budget of 5,000,000 VND. Through this activity, it aims to support and encourage workers to overcome difficulties and rise up in life.
Also in the program, the organizing committee also coordinated with Thuan An Ward Police to organize propaganda on building a drug-free ward, deploying the SOS Security and Digital Citizens app of Ho Chi Minh City. Thereby, raising awareness for workers about digital transformation activities and the harms of drugs as well as drug prevention and control measures. From there, contributing to ensuring political security, social order and safety, and stabilizing the production and business situation for businesses.
