Workers happily have a house at the Trade Union Shelter
Binh Thuan - The family of a worker couple in difficult circumstances began a life of settling down in the Trade Union Shelter house.
On May 31, Mr. Huynh Thien Linh - Chairman of the Labor Federation of Duc Linh District, Binh Thuan Province, said that the unit had, together with the Chairman of the Labor Federation of Binh Thuan Province, presented the Trade Union Shelter to the family of union member Nguyen Thi Ly - Trade Union of Quadrille Vietnam Co., Ltd. - Duc Linh Branch.
Ms. Ly's family is in very difficult circumstances, the couple works as workers with low incomes but still raises parents over 75 years old and young children, so building a private house to settle down and make a living is a distant wish.
From the survey and guidance on how to support a Trade Union Shelter of the Duc Linh District Labor Federation, union member Ly was supported by the Binh Thuan Provincial Labor Federation with 40 million VND from the Binh Thuan Provincial Trade Union Social Fund.
Combined with savings, additional loans from colleagues and support for working days from relatives, a spacious house was built with a total cost of over 350 million VND.
At the handover ceremony of the Trade Union Shelter, Mr. Do Huu Quy - Chairman of the Binh Thuan Provincial Federation of Labor congratulated the family on having a new house and presented gifts to the family, demonstrating the concern of the trade union organization for union members and workers with housing difficulties.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Ly was moved and thanked the union organization for supporting the family to build a new house. This is a great encouragement for herself and adds determination for her family to overcome difficulties and settle down in the near future.
