The wishes of nearly 2,700 employees when the company ceases operations
HCMC - Workers hope the company will pay their March salary and severance pay equal to 3 months of basic salary to stabilize their lives.
Company ran out of orders, forced to stop production
On the afternoon of December 26, a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper was present at Panko Vina Company Limited (My Phuoc 1 Industrial Park, Ben Cat Ward, Ho Chi Minh City) to record the production activities of the enterprise. Currently, the factories are still operating normally, thousands of workers are busy working.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hoang - Chairman of the Trade Union said that the company's production will be carried out until January 31, 2026. Labor relations are stable, enterprises do not owe wages or social insurance to employees.

According to Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hoang, the announcement of the termination of the company's production and business activities at My Phuoc 1 Industrial Park is force majeure.
When the company announced the termination of production and business activities, workers were disappointed by this information. After that, the Trade Union also encouraged workers to calm down and work to complete the order and let the Trade Union negotiate with the enterprise.
"Since the COVID-19 pandemic occurred, business orders have decreased, not enough to supply 2 factories in Vietnam (1 in Ho Chi Minh City and 1 in Da Nang), so production has had to be rearranged. The company's orders at My Phuoc 1 Industrial Park will expire in January 2026. Recently, an overseas enterprise has planned to buy back, receive Panko Vina Co., Ltd. and continue to organize production here. However, due to order problems, the partner did not continue to sign the transfer. Therefore, the company is forced to make a decision to stop production" - Mr. Hoang said.

Hope the company will support the workers
Hearing the news that businesses have stopped operations near Tet, many workers are worried. Ms. Huynh Thi Hong Dieu (37 years old) said that she has been working and attached to the company for 16 years.
"My family is renting a room, our income is just enough to cover our living expenses. Now if I lose my job, it will be very stressful. I hope the company will pay my 13th salary because I have worked for the end of the year. In addition, if possible, the company would be required to provide severance pay for employees with 3 months of basic salary. Thereby, workers can cover their living expenses and find new jobs" - Ms. Dieu shared.

Meanwhile, Ms. Le Thi Lien (36 years old) has been with the company for 15 years. "I know the company is in difficulty, but the workers are also in a difficult situation. I just hope the company will pay me my 13th month salary and have a severance allowance to cover my living expenses. I live in a rented house, have 2 young children studying, and have to pay 10 million VND per month. If we lose our job at this time, it will be very difficult for us" - Ms. Lien expressed.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hoang - Chairman of the company's Trade Union said that the unit had a meeting with the managers of all departments, then collected the opinions of workers. First, workers expect the company to pay their 13th month salary. Second, it is recommended that the company finalize the insurance payment period and salary payment period for January 2026. Third, it is recommended that the company provide severance pay equal to 3 months of basic salary for employees.

Currently, the company's Trade Union has sent a petition to the company's Board of Directors. The enterprise is holding a meeting and will have a meeting with the authorities, then there will be a response to the employees.
