More than 2,000 Hai Phong trade union members attend a series of exciting sports activities
Hai Phong - On June 14, the Trade Union of Duong Kinh and Hung Dao wards organized a series of sports activities to celebrate the success of the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress.
The highlight of the festival is a large-scale cross-country running event with the participation of more than 2,000 union members and workers from agencies, units, schools, businesses and socio-political organizations in the two wards. The organizing committee awarded 300 souvenir medals to the earliest finishers.
Within the framework of the festival, the Pickleball tournament for union members and workers attracted the attention of a large number of athletes. The tournament includes two categories: men's doubles and mixed doubles with a total of 20 pairs of athletes competing.
Tug of war activities also took place sôi nổi with the participation of 20 teams from agencies, units and businesses in the two wards. Each team consists of 10 male and female athletes competing in a sparring format, creating an exciting atmosphere, cheering for the spirit of solidarity and collective cohesion.
Mr. Nguyen Ho Phuong - Chairman of Duong Kinh Ward Trade Union said that the series of activities not only creates a healthy playground for union members and workers but also contributes to strengthening exchanges and tightening relationships between units and businesses, thereby affirming the role of the Trade Union organization in caring for and accompanying workers.
