Workers plan and arrange time to watch the 2026 World Cup
With passion for football, many workers have proactively planned and arranged reasonable time to watch matches at the 2026 World Cup.
Mr. Nguyen Van Chinh (Ninh Binh) - a shipbuilding worker, said that his job is quite proactive in terms of time, so watching his favorite matches at the World Cup does not encounter many difficulties.
This World Cup season, I will proactively ask for 1-2 breaks if important matches take place during the day," Mr. Chinh shared.
According to Mr. Chinh, the director of the shipyard where he works is quite understanding and creates conditions for workers during the football season. On days when important matches such as quarter-finals, semi-finals and finals take place, workers can work 7 hours/day, without having to work 8 hours or overtime as usual.

In addition, workers in the factory are allowed to proactively arrange work time earlier in the afternoon to suit the competition schedule, as long as they still ensure enough working hours.
With this policy, Mr. Chinh plans to register to work from 1 pm to 5 pm so that he can go home early to prepare to watch football.
Because he does not have fixed weekly days off but is proactive in choosing rest time, Mr. Chinh plans to take advantage of weekends or before holidays to invite colleagues, friends and relatives to the cafe to watch football and relax in the exciting atmosphere.
Male workers also often go to their younger brother's house to watch matches. According to him, this place has a large screen and spacious, airy space, suitable for cheering football without affecting family life.
Meanwhile, Mr. Dang Van Hau, a garment worker in Ninh Binh, said that his only day off is Sundays every week. Therefore, from Saturday evening to the end of Sunday, if World Cup matches take place, he often invites friends to drink stalls or eateries with large TV screens to watch.

Because the company does not have regulations on reducing working hours or taking leave during the World Cup, Mr. Hau has proactively sought ways to balance work and passion for football, while ensuring health.
I will prioritize spending at least 2/3 of my time watching important matches such as the group stage, ranking matches, quarter-finals, semi-finals and finals. For less important matches, if I am working hours, I can turn on the online channel, wear headphones to listen and watch or review match summary videos," Mr. Hau said.
For matches taking place at midnight, Mr. Hau said he will actively go to bed early, wake up when the match starts and immediately after the match ends will continue to rest to ensure health for the next working day. According to him, he does not stay up late for more than two sessions a week to watch football.
To maintain fitness for work, Mr. Hau believes that fans should choose really important matches or have their favorite teams to watch.
In case you have to stay up to watch football at night, during the day you need to supplement energy drinks and appropriate foods to stay alert as well as ensure health.
