Union members and workers enthusiastically participate in voluntary blood donation

On July 24, the An Giang Provincial Federation of Labor, the Provincial Red Cross Society and the Trade Union of Hwaseung Rach Gia Company Limited (Thanh Loc Industrial Park) organized the Blood Donation Festival program.

Ms. Ton Nu My Hanh - Chairman of the company's Trade Union said: This blood donation activity was held for the first time at the company's Trade Union and through the call and mobilization, it received a very enthusiastic response from union members and workers of the company.

"Not only is it a practical activity towards celebrating the founding day of the Vietnam Trade Union, but it also helps union members of the company share their responsibility with the community from meaningful blood donation activities. The Company's leaders as well as the Trade Union consider this a humanitarian activity connecting volunteer hearts and can later do it periodically to connect and donate more units of blood. Thereby creating a higher community activity such as testing rare blood groups to create rare blood clubs", said Ms. Hanh.

Ms. Le Thi Be, a union member of the company, shared: I have donated blood 19 times over the past 10 years. I find this work meaningful and helps many people, so I have participated until now.

"I feel that after donating blood, I am healthy normally, not tired, and can still work. The important thing is that I think donating blood to save people is a good thing, so I participate, and keep in mind that if I can't do big things, I will contribute a small part to the social community," said Mr. Tran Minh Thuan, a union member of the company.

More than 150 union members and workers were present early to complete procedures before donating blood. Determining it as a meaningful activity, everyone is very enthusiastic, and blood donation participants also receive support according to regulations.

Chairman of the An Giang Provincial Federation of Labor Do Tran Thinh said: After stabilizing the organizational structure and activities after the merger, the Trade Union has had a series of practical events to celebrate the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union (July 28, 1929 - July 28, 2025). In particular, the Provincial Federation of Labor, the Provincial Red Cross Society and the Company's Trade Union have jointly coordinated to create a very practical Blood Donation Festival program.

"Union members and workers have responded very well and we will expand to other companies and enterprises in the province. From there, spread the blood donation movement so that it becomes a widespread activity, becoming a regular movement of the Trade Union, Mr. Thinh shared.
