Not only freelancers, Nguyen Hoang Loi (a first-year student at Can Tho University) is also consulting with associations and groups on social networks to find seasonal jobs for himself.
On clubs and groups, there are more than a dozen recruitment articles per day, but the seasonal positions suitable for students are mainly restaurant service, packaging staff... with salaries ranging from 17,000 - 20,000 VND/hour - the male student said.
Be careful with the "easy work, high salary" trap
Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Cao De - Deputy Head of the Department of Science, Technology and Innovation (Can Tho University) - said that at the end of the year, with many exciting events such as stimulus promotions, Christmas, New Year, Lunar New Year... the demand for recruitment for seasonal positions such as pick-up, packaging, sales consulting, handmade goods making, service, reception... increased.
"In response to students' needs, we advise and introduce them to reputable addresses such as the Employment Service Center to find jobs. When a recruitment unit contacts us, we will inform you on the school's fanpage. This is official information that students can access" - Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Cao De said.
Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Cao De also noted that students need to be proactive, vigilant and cautious when looking for a job, especially in cyberspace to avoid the trap of "easy work with high salary", unclear work, sensitive work, paying fees before starting work... or having to provide personal documents.
In the fourth quarter of 2025, in addition to regular job consultation activities, the Can Tho City Employment Service Center will coordinate with localities to implement consultation points and job fairs in communes and wards in the area; Organize activities to meet employers, weekly fairs according to the Job Coffee model... The unit also plans to organize the New Year's Day, to connect supply and demand for companies and businesses with students and workers who want to find a job at the end of the year.
