2 Western teams win first prize in Hai Phong Workers' Football Tournament

The 2026 Hai Phong City Union Members and Workers Men's and Women's Football Tournament kicked off on April 25th, gathering 57 football teams from commune and ward trade unions and grassroots trade unions under the Trade Unions of industrial parks in the city, including 31 teams in the Eastern region and 26 teams in the Western region. After more than 100 exciting matches, the teams brought many attractive plays, attracting a large number of union members, workers and fans to cheer.

In the final match at the Vietnam Maritime University Stadium this afternoon, in the men's football event, the Trade Union team of Tinh Loi Garment Co., Ltd. (Kinh Mon Ward Trade Union) excellently defeated the Trade Union team of Hong Bang Ward to win the championship. Meanwhile, in the women's event, the Trade Union team of Sumidenso Vietnam Co., Ltd. defeated the Trade Union team of Phi Hong Vietnam Co., Ltd. and won first prize.

At the end of the tournament, the Organizing Committee awarded cups, flags and First, Second, Third, and Consolation prizes in both men's and women's categories, and also honored many individuals with outstanding achievements such as best player, best goalkeeper and other sub-prizes.

This is the first year that the City Labor Federation has organized men's and women's football tournaments in both the East and West of the city. The activity contributes to encouraging the football training movement of union members and workers in the city; contributing to improving health and completing assigned tasks. In addition, the tournament also strengthens relationships, exchanges, learning experiences and mutual understanding between units and participating members.
