Vietnam - Korea Trade Union expands cooperation in the context of digital transformation

At the invitation of the Korean Trade Union Federation (FKTU), the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor delegation will visit and work in Korea, from November 27 to 29.

The delegation was led by Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang - Member of the Party Central Committee, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front, Central organizations, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Party Secretary, President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.

During his time in Korea, the President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor held talks with the President of FKTU. At the meeting, FKTU Chairman affirmed the good and long-term cooperative relationship between the two organizations and said that the two countries and trade union organizations have many similarities, especially in the context of digital transformation. Therefore, FKTU representative said that the two sides need to continue to strengthen practical cooperation to protect and enhance the rights of workers. For his part, the President of the General Confederation affirmed the importance of Vietnam - Korea cooperation, highly appreciated the Korean business community in Vietnam and the role of Vietnamese workers in Korea. These are factors that create a foundation to promote the cooperative relationship between the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and FKTU.

Through working sessions with relevant Korean agencies, the two sides highly appreciated the diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Korea, agreeing that there should be close coordination between the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and Korean labor authorities in the coming time to strengthen support for workers and enterprises, and build harmonious labor relations to promote the common interests of all parties.
