Deploying the organization of the Grassroots Trade Union Congress in Hanoi

The implementation conference took place under the chairmanship of Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Thuy - Vice President of the Hanoi City Labor Federation.

Attending were Chairmen of grassroots trade unions and Working Group No. 02 of the City Labor Federation.

Implementing the policy of streamlining the apparatus of the political system to operate effectively and efficiently, the Hanoi City Labor Federation has received 70 grassroots unions (including the Lao Dong Newspaper grassroots union) and 2 grassroots unions directly above the grassroots level from the Vietnam Civil Servants' Union. The total number of union members of these units is 18,628.

Trade union congresses at all levels mark a fundamental change in the organizational model in the new era; promptly concretize the Party's guidelines and resolutions, the State's policies and laws into the resolutions of the Trade Union Congress.

The main contents to be implemented at the Congress include: Discussing and approving the summary report on trade union activities in the past term; deciding on targets, directions, tasks and solutions for the coming term; Participating in giving opinions on draft documents of the Upper Trade Union Congress; synthesizing recommendations from union members and workers on issues related to the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers and trade union activities; Participating in giving opinions on amending and supplementing the Charter of the Vietnam Trade Union; electing and appointing the Executive Committee of the new term of the Trade Union and key positions of officials; delegates attending the Upper Trade Union Congress (if any).
