On September 6, Ms. Nguyen Kim Loan - Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation said that Working Group No. 8 - Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation has just organized a meeting with grassroots unions (CDCS) in VSIP II Industrial Park and Mapletree Industrial Park. The program aims to enhance will, responsibility, solidarity and sharing to jointly build a strong trade union organization from the grassroots.
According to Ms. Nguyen Kim Loan, recently, the activities of the trade union organization have been maintained such as: giving gifts to workers in difficult circumstances, organizing "Union Meals", donating blood for humanity, providing free health check-ups for female workers, organizing competitions to promote the composition of songs for workers in Ho Chi Minh City, online competitions of the Ho Chi Minh City Trade Union accompanying the development of the country...
In addition, the working groups of the City Labor Federation have actively supported the trade unions of wards, communes and special zones to proactively coordinate in organizing activities to care for the material and spiritual life of union members, so that trade union activities are not interrupted.
"Caring activities do not stop at giving gifts and supporting difficulties, but need to be more practical, sustainable, focusing on welfare, in line with the actual needs of workers. Specifically, social housing, vocational training to improve skills, career conversion, creating attractive services for union members. This will help them clearly see the benefits of participating in trade unions" - Ms. Nguyen Kim Loan emphasized.
According to Ms. Nguyen Kim Loan, the activities of the Ho Chi Minh City Trade Union have been undergoing many positive innovations to adapt to the new situation, especially in the context of a market economy and international integration. In particular, it is necessary to increase interaction on digital platforms such as social networks to approach and listen to the thoughts and aspirations of workers.
