Income of many coal miners in Quang Ninh reaches 300-700 million VND/year

The 6th Quang Ninh Coal Party Congress, 2025-2030, will be held over 2 days, August 4-5, marking a comprehensive maturity in thinking, action and political mettle of a key Party Committee in the Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Group (TKV).

According to the report of Mr. Pham Hong Thai - Deputy Secretary of the Quang Ninh Coal Party Committee, in the past term, despite facing the Covid-19 pandemic, severe climate change and especially the third storm in 2024 causing heavy damage, the Quang Ninh Coal Party Committee still maintained the spirit of "discipline and unity", leading the entire system to overcome difficulties, stabilize production, protect jobs and income for workers.

The Quang Ninh Coal Party Committee has closely coordinated with the TKV Party Committee and the Quang Ninh Party Committee to direct and remove difficulties for units, improve the leadership capacity and fighting strength of the Party Committee through maintaining stable production and business growth, contributing to maintaining its role as one of the pillars to ensure national energy security, continuing to make an important contribution to the GRDP growth of Quang Ninh province.

In the period of 2020-2024, the output of raw coal mining reached over 142 million tons, reaching 74.3% of the total output of TKV Group. The lives of workers have improved significantly. In 2025 alone, the average income will reach over 18 million VND/person/month; many miners will earn from 300-700 million VND/year...

For the 2025-2030 term, the Quang Ninh Coal Party Congress set a goal of being determined to achieve breakthrough goals, contributing with TKV Group to achieving the following goals: raw coal production 201.43 million tons; Commercial coal output 192.8 million tons, an average of 38.6 million tons/year with revenue of VND 918,000 billion, achieving pre-tax profit of VND 25,500 billion; Total investment value of VND 170,000 billion; the whole group strives to have TKV at the core become a digital enterprise by 2030; Converting the two-level unit model to one level, eliminating intermediate level, in line with the unit's reality, in line with the Party and State's policy; streamlining 5% of department, construction site, and workshop units. Starting the Coc Sau - Deo Nai mine cluster exploitation project and the tunnel exploitation project below -175 Vang Danh coal mine.

Speaking at the Congress, Mr. Vu Dai Thang, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee affirmed: Throughout its development, the Coal industry has always played a particularly important role for Quang Ninh province - the largest material manufacturing industry, contributing a high proportion to GRDP, budget, exports, creating jobs for tens of thousands of workers; being the main force contributing to ensuring national energy security, social security, developing infrastructure and maintaining national defense and security in the Northeast region.

In the coming term, the Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee hopes that the Quang Ninh coal industry will have development steps associated with green technology transformation, circular economy, labor safety, application of completely automated production technology, increased investment disbursement...

The Congress voted to elect the Executive Committee of the 6th term for the 2025-2030 term, with 27 comrades (elected to elect 24 people) and the nomination ballot for the Quang Ninh Coal Party Committee Secretary for Mr. Nguyen Huy Nam - Deputy General Director of TKV Group and Director of the Coal Production Executive Center in Quang Ninh. Mr. Nguyen Huy Nam was elected as Secretary of the Quang Ninh Coal Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term.
