Another non-state grassroots trade union established in an industrial cluster in Binh Thuan

On May 31, Mr. Huynh Thien Linh - Chairman of the Duc Linh District Labor Federation, Binh Thuan Province, said that he had organized a ceremony to present the decision to establish the grassroots trade union of Stavian Packaging Joint Stock Company in Binh Thuan. This is a company in the Dong Ha Commune Industrial Cluster in the district.

To establish a new grassroots union, the Standing Committee of the District Labor Federation worked with the Company's Board of Directors and organized propaganda and mobilization to the company's employees. Thereby, 111 employees working at the company voluntarily joined the trade union organization and introduced 3 outstanding people to join the Provisional Trade Union Executive Committee.

At the decision announcement ceremony, Mr. Huynh Thien Linh - Chairman of Duc Linh District Labor Federation congratulated and awarded the decision to establish the grassroots trade union of Stavian Packaging Joint Stock Company Binh Thuan. At the same time, it is expected that the Executive Committee of the grassroots trade union of grassroots trade unions formulate operational regulations, grasp the situation and aspirations of union members, workers and implement emulation movements of trade unions at all levels.

The representative of the Provisional Executive Committee of the grassroots Trade Union said that it will do a good job of caring for and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of workers. From there, encourage workers who have not joined the trade union to continue to voluntarily participate, striving to achieve over 90% of the company's workers being union members.

Regarding the development of union members in Duc Linh district - a mountainous district in Binh Thuan province, Mr. Huynh Thien Linh - Chairman of the Labor Federation of Duc Linh district said that this is the third grassroots trade union of an enterprise outside the state sector established in the first half of the year. By doing well the propaganda and coordination, the leaders of companies that are mobilized to establish grassroots trade unions are interested and create favorable conditions throughout the process of campaigning to establish trade unions at the company.

Although there is only half a month left until the end of the district-level Labor Federation's activities, Duc Linh District Labor Federation is still striving to establish more grassroots unions and develop union members, helping to enhance the role and position of the trade union organization with workers.
