Challenges in caring for workers in the new period

On July 28, the Vietnam Education Trade Union (VTC) said that in the coming time, the Law on Teachers and many other laws that are about to take effect will affect the ideology, job opportunities, income and life of the employees. In addition, the fact that there are no trade unions in schools receiving 100% of the State budget salary starting from July 2025 also puts the trade union in front of new tasks and challenges.

To ensure the rights of union members and workers, the Trade Union will continue to proactively participate in giving opinions on policy and law making directly related to the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members, workers and trade union organizations. At the same time, the Trade Union focuses on innovating the methods of operation, proactively grasping the actual situation of the facility to direct, guide, and support trade unions at all levels to perform well the assigned functions and tasks.

In addition, the Trade Union focuses resources on taking care of the welfare of employees in the new situation; advising the Party Committee, coordinating with the government and professionals to care for stable jobs and ensuring income for employees. Pay attention to and promptly care for union members and workers in difficult circumstances, those who are unfortunately suffering from serious illnesses, affected by natural disasters, epidemics, etc.

Continue to direct and guide trade unions at all levels to improve the effectiveness of propaganda, dissemination, and legal education, equipping legal knowledge so that employees are able to protect themselves; Coordinate well with the profession in building and implementing tasks for the school year and implementing democracy at the grassroots level... At the same time, effectively implement emulation movements "Good at public work, Creative at public work", "Good at teaching - Good at learning" with the content "Innovation, creativity in management, teaching and learning", "Scientific research and technology transfer", "Good at public work - Good at home work"...

The Trade Union directs and guides trade unions of units to coordinate with the professional sector to focus on and strengthen propaganda work to raise awareness of employees and mobilize employees to actively participate in activities to actively respond to limit occupational accidents and diseases, build a culture of safety at the workplace.

Organize cultural, artistic, physical education and sports activities, create a favorable environment for employees to recreate their labor force, improve their health, improve the quality of spiritual life, have a good mindset to complete assigned tasks well, contributing to the development of the unit in particular and the education sector in general.
