Focus on the contents that need to be adjusted and supplemented to suit the streamlined organization
Hanoi - On the morning of June 2, the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor held the 12th Conference (term XIII) chaired by Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang - Member of the Party Central Committee, President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor. The conference was attended by representatives of the Central Party Committees.
At the conference, delegates will focus on giving opinions on the contents that need to be focused on, the contents that need to be adjusted and supplemented to suit the new situation after implementing the streamlining of the apparatus and reorganizing administrative boundaries.
According to the program, this session the Presidium will give opinions on 12 contents. Including: Report on the results of trade union activities in the first 6 months of the year, tasks for the last 6 months of 2025; Plan to rearrange and reorganize the Labor Cultural Palace and Labor Culture House; Instructions for management, organization and operation of charity funds of trade union organizations; Resolution of the Executive Committee of the General Confederation on trade union financial work (replacing Resolution 7b/NQ-TLD on trade union financial work in the new situation); Project "Overall planning of facilities of Vietnam Trade Union organizations to 2030 and vision to 2045"...
In his opening speech, Chairman Nguyen Dinh Khang said that Resolution 7b on trade union financial work was issued in 2016, after 10 years of implementation, it has achieved positive results, and the management of finance and assets has undergone many changes, gradually meeting the requirements of improving the quality of trade union activities.
However, in the coming time, the Vietnam Trade Union will face new opportunities and challenges. Implement the Central Government's instructions on reorganizing the political system, including merging the Vietnam Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations, ending the activities of civil servant trade unions, district-level trade unions, grassroots trade unions of administrative agencies and public service units receiving 100% salary from the state budget; the expected union fee contribution level of union members will directly affect trade union financial work; requiring the issuance of a resolution to suit the new situation.
President Nguyen Dinh Khang emphasized that the Resolution of the Executive Committee of the General Confederation of Labor on trade union financial work (replacing Resolution 7b/NQ-TLD on trade union financial work in the new situation) is an extremely important content, suggesting that comrades focus on researching and contributing opinions, especially on the goals, targets, and tasks and solutions to improve the effectiveness of trade union financial work, meeting the requirements of the tasks in the coming period.
In the first 6 months of 2025, trade unions at all levels have just carried out key tasks, regularly according to the annual work program, while focusing on implementing the Central's instructions on streamlining the apparatus to be streamlined, compact, strong, efficient, effective and efficient.
From the practical leadership, direction and implementation of tasks of the sector, locality and unit, Chairman Nguyen Dinh Khang suggested that members of the Presidium give their opinions on the achieved results, compare with the set targets and tasks, analyze and clarify the limitations, forecast the situation, propose tasks and solutions that need to be focused on in the remaining months, especially the contents that need to be focused on implementation, the contents that need to be adjusted and supplemented to suit the new situation after implementing the streamlining of the apparatus and reorganizing administrative boundaries.
