Brilliant colors at the union members' festival to celebrate Hai Phong - Hai Duong merger

The program was held at the Square of the Viet Tiep Friendship Labor Cultural Palace with the participation of more than 2,000 people, representing more than 550,000 union members and workers in Hai Phong City and Hai Duong Province. The "Union Members' Day" was organized to propagate to a large number of cadres, union members, employees and people of the city about the merger of Hai Phong city and Hai Duong province, creating a high unity of ideas and actions among cadres, union members and people of the city to implement the arrangement of administrative units at all levels. Thereby, contributing to arousing pride and strengthening the trust of the people, especially union members and employees of the city in the Party, State and Vietnam Trade Union organization.

"Union Members' Day" took place with many vibrant and colorful activities such as the physical performance in the middle of the "Hai Phong - Hai Duong Workers towards the New City" performance by 300 workers in industrial parks in Hai Phong; the "Health - For the Bright Future of the City" collective race, attracting nearly 1,300 athletes. The running route starts from the Viet Tiep Friendship Labor Cultural Palace Square - Lach Tray Street - the double road next to the City Martyrs Memorial - The lake road behind Viet Tiep Palace - The road next to the Children's Palace - Ending at Viet Tiep Palace. Also at the program, more than 2,000 workers lined up to say "New Hai Phong City", shouting the slogan "I love Hai Phong".

"With more than 550,000 union members after the merger, the city's working class will be the pioneer in the cause of industrialization and modernization, contributing to making Hai Phong a modern, civilized, humane port city, strongly integrating with the region and the world. After the merger, the Hai Phong City Labor Federation will continue to innovate its content and methods of operation, building an increasingly strong organization, truly a reliable support for union members, workers and laborers. At the same time, it will play a good role as a bridge between the Party, the government and the workers, contributing to creating social consensus and stability in the development process" - Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan - Chairman of the Hai Phong City Labor Federation - spoke at the festival.

On the same day, the Labor Federation organized a friendly tournament for men's and women's union members and employees at the Vietnam Maritime University Stadium with the participation of teams from employees in Hai Phong City and Hai Duong Province.
