The 0 VND market helps more than 200 disadvantaged people in Tan Hiep ward, Ho Chi Minh City
HCMC - The Fatherland Front Committee of Tan Hiep Ward organized a 0 VND market to support more than 200 people and workers in difficult circumstances in the locality.
On September 12, the Fatherland Front Committee of Tan Hiep ward, Ho Chi Minh City organized a 0 VND market in 2025 to support households in difficult circumstances in the ward.
The program was attended by Mr. Ly Ngoc Phong - Party Committee Secretary, Chairman of the Ward People's Council, Ms. Tran Thi Cam Tu - Deputy Party Committee Secretary, Chairman of the People's Committee of Tan Hiep Ward.
Ms. Luu Thi Tuyet Trinh - Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tan Hiep Ward said that the 0 VND market program is part of a series of activities "R River Youth Festival - Ethnic Solidarity" in residential areas in Tan Hiep Ward. Through this activity, it is aimed at supporting households and workers in difficult circumstances.
According to Ms. Luu Thi Tuyet Trinh, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tan Hiep ward has received the support and valuable contributions of neighborhoods, businesses, and benefactors. The units have actively supported practical gifts and spread the message "the healthy leaves cover the torn leaves, together building a community of solidarity, compassion and affection".
"The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tan Hiep Ward has received a lot of support from sponsors. All 22 items were sent to us to organize today's 0 VND market such as: rice, instant noodles, cooking oil, soy sauce, starch, dishwashing water, vegetables and fruits. The 0 VND market program has helped more than 200 people and workers receive meaningful and practical gifts" - Ms. Luu Thi Tuyet Trinh said.
According to records, more than 200 people and workers in difficult circumstances have benefited from this program. Each person who goes to the market can buy 22 items for 0 VND. The total value of the items that each person benefits from is about 400,000 VND to 500,000 VND. Workers' families shared that the market has provided practical items to help people in need to use them for 2 weeks.
