Mr. Nguyen Phuc Nhu re-elected as Chairman of the Trade Union of Can Tho Urban Company

On December 3, the Trade Union of Can Tho Urban Joint Stock Company held its 12th Congress for the 2025-2030 term.

Determining that employees in general and union members in particular are valuable assets of the company, the Trade Union has focused resources to care for and ensure welfare regimes according to regulations. During the term, the unit visited, encouraged, and supported workers who had work-related accidents; families of officers and employees on holidays, Tet, anniversaries, etc., or those in difficulty, with a total amount of nearly 800 million VND.

The company's trade union contributed the Golden Heart Fund, the Fund for the Poor, Supporting people in the Central and Northern provinces affected by floods, ... with a total amount of over 76 million VND; Participating in donating 10 units of blood for voluntary blood donation activities; Encouraging and motivating children of company employees on the occasion of the 1st and 6th of the Mid-Autumn Festival, rewarding their good academic performance, with a total amount of over 50 million VND.

The content and methods of organizing emulation movements are proposed with flexible forms, suitable for each production and business sector, subject and specific operating conditions of the unit. Each emulation period is evaluated and rewarded in a timely manner, combining well the spiritual and material encouragement for outstanding collectives and individuals, creating a strong motivation to promote the emulation movement to develop both widely and deeply.

Speaking at the congress, Ms. Le Thi Suong Mai - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL), Member of the City Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the City, President of the Can Tho City Labor Federation - acknowledged and commended the results that the Trade Union Executive Committee and the collective of union members and workers of the company have achieved.

Entering the new term, the grassroots trade union needs to continue to care for the lives, protect the legitimate and legal rights and interests of workers; innovate the content and methods of trade union activities, link emulation movements with the city's urban development goals; participate in building the Party and the political system, discover and nurture outstanding union members, introduce them to the Party for admission; Closely coordinate with the company's leaders in building a business development strategy, promoting digital transformation in urban management and service provision.

The Congress elected 5 comrades to the Executive Committee of the new term of the Trade Union; elected 1 official delegate and 1 alternate delegate to attend the 1st Congress of the Can Tho City Trade Union, term 2025 - 2030. Mr. Nguyen Phuc Nhu was re-elected as Chairman of the Trade Union of Can Tho Urban Joint Stock Company for the 2025-2030 term.
