Ninh Binh - Along the sidewalk of Phu Nghia Street in Nam Dinh Ward are bags of high-quality rice to send to support people in flooded areas.

These days, at the reception point for goods to support people in flooded areas on Phu Nghia Street (Nam Dinh Ward, Ninh Binh Province), people continuously bring rice and many necessities to support. This is an activity organized by Club A18 (a club established by traders in the old Nam Dinh province).

According to Lao Dong Newspaper, the atmosphere here is always bustling from early morning to late night. The gathering point was filled with relief goods, the most of which was rice.

Sharing about the meaningful activity above, Mr. Tran Trong Huy - Chairman of A18 Club said that this is not the first time the Club has mobilized relief goods to help people in flooded areas. Previously, since storm No. 10 (Bualoi), A18 Club, on behalf of Ninh Binh people and benefactors, sent more than 1,000 tons of rice, tens of thousands of boxes of instant noodles and other necessities to support people in provinces affected by natural disasters such as Thai Nguyen, Bac Ninh, Cao Bang, Lang Son, etc.

"This time, we want to send to the Central region. When receiving the goods, people bring necessities to the point to send to support the people of the Central region in large numbers, possibly up to tens of thousands. Currently, rice is the most supported item, the amount of relief rice has reached 300 tons. The shipments that we had just delivered were full the next day because the reception points continued to deliver them," Mr. Huy shared.

Excitedly bringing the bag of rice to the gathering point, Ms. Bui Thi Ngat (in Vi Khe ward) expressed: "My family is farming and growing rice fields, so my family's conditions are not good, but given the losses that our compatriots in the Central region are suffering, I still want to contribute a small part to support. I hope that people will soon overcome the difficult days".

It is known that the relief goods currently gathered on Phu Nghia Street will be transferred to Binh Dinh province (old) and Phu Yen province (old).

To ensure goods reach people in time, at the reception points in the two provinces above, volunteers of A18 Club are always on duty, ready to transport goods to the most remote areas, ensuring delivery to people. In addition, the Club also used the People's Committees, the Fatherland Front, the local police and military forces to coordinate the delivery of goods to the people in a timely manner.
