Female medical staff completes journey, five fates are opened
At the moment of separation, the family of the female medical worker chose to give her life, helping many patients to be revived and continue their journey.
On January 12, 2026, 108 Central Military Hospital successfully deployed a multiple organ removal and transplantation from a brain-dead donor who is a medical staff member. That noble gesture not only revives many lives but also deeply spreads the humanistic and medical values of the medical industry.
The donor was a female medical worker (46 years old) diagnosed with brain death due to a cerebral hemorrhage. In the extremely painful moment, the family made a humane decision: to donate tissues and organs to relatives to save the lives of patients who were approaching the death line.
Although no longer present, the doctor continues his journey to save people in the most special way - giving life to strangers. A quiet but great continuation of the mission of wearing white blouse.
From 10am the same day, 108 Central Military Hospital organized a nearly two-hour professional consultation with the participation of experts inside and outside the hospital. The consultation was chaired by Lieutenant General, Professor, Dr. Le Huu Song - Director of the 108 Central Military Hospital - to comprehensively assess the situation of donors and patients waiting for transplants.
Based on the conclusion of the consultation and direction of the Head of the Hospital, the Organ Transplant Center and specialized units quickly developed a plan to receive, remove and transplant multiple organs, ensuring strict compliance with professional, safe and effective procedures.
The close coordination between surgical, resuscitation, anesthesia, testing, organ transplant coordination teams... has created a chain of accurate, urgent but controllable activities - the decisive factor for the success of the transplant.
From the gestures of the donor, many lives have been revived. The liver leaves were transplanted to a 36-year-old male patient in a state of severe liver failure. The two kidneys were transplanted to a 37-year-old female patient and a 47-year-old male patient - who had to depend on dialysis for a long time.
In particular, the two corneas were coordinated to Hue Central Hospital, opening up opportunities for vision recovery for patients who are waiting for light every day.
From a passing away, at least five years of life are continued - that is the greatest meaning of organ donation.
The decision to donate organs in painful circumstances not only saves many lives but also strongly spreads the message of compassion, the spirit of sharing and social responsibility of doctors.

Currently, professional teams continue to closely monitor the post-transplant status, care and complete professional stages to ensure long-term results for patients.
Each multiple organ transplant is the crystallization of the intelligence, bravery and dedication of the medical team. That is the journey to extend life, where modern medicine meets the most profound human values.

From successful transplants, knowing hearts and dedicated hands of doctors and nurses, the journey to revive life is still being continued - quiet but extremely strong.
