Hanoi City Labor Federation awards support for Trade Union Shelters
Hanoi On August 12, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Thuy, Vice President of the City Labor Federation, presented funds to support the Trade Union Shelter to union member Do Thuy Lien.
Ms. Lien is a teacher at Cao Thanh Kindergarten. She is a union member with difficult circumstances. The total income of the freelancer and her husband is about 11 million VND per month. The couple has a 4-year-old child and Lien has just given birth to her second child in 4 months.
Ms. Lien's family was given a 150m2 plot of land by her parents-in-law but could not afford to build a house, so they still lived at her brother's house.
Given the circumstances and legitimate aspirations of the union members, and at the same time, based on the proposal of the grassroots union, the City Labor Federation decided to support the construction of a new Union Shelter for Ms. Do Thuy Lien.
Receiving 40 million VND in support from the City Labor Federation, Ms. Lien was very touched by the attention and care of the Trade Union organization. The joy of her family was multiplied many times when receiving support on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and National Day on September 2.
