Leaders of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor attend a meeting of trade union officials in Can Tho

Speaking at the meeting, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Thai Thu Xuong emphasized that over the past 96 years, associated with every historical journey of the nation, the Vietnam Trade Union has always been a large political and social organization of the working class, a reliable support for workers, a solid political and social foundation of our Party and State.

Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Thai Thu Xuong said that that glorious heritage and tradition is a beacon for the road, for generations of Vietnamese cadres, union members and workers to steadily move forward, continuing to write heroic pages in the cause of building and firmly defending the Fatherland.

In particular, in the struggle for national independence and class liberation, the Trade Union is always closely attached to the working class, accompanying the nation and the Communist Party of Vietnam, striving to build an independent, peaceful, unified Vietnam, a rich, strong country, democracy, fairness and civilization.

The Standing Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor stated that in the cause of innovation, the working class and the Vietnam Trade Union continue to promote the tradition and good nature of the pioneering class and the heroic nation, always resilient, united, diligent, creative in production and labor, and have played an important role and are taking the lead in successfully implementing the Party's innovation guidelines.

In the current period of the country promoting industrialization, modernization and comprehensive and extensive international integration, the role and position of the Trade Union organization is more affirmed and promoted more strongly than ever.

At the meeting, the Standing Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor highly appreciated the efforts of the Can Tho City Labor Federation in maintaining and developing workers' movements, many good practices, and initiative models have been effectively applied, thereby better meeting the legitimate needs and aspirations of union members, workers, civil servants, and laborers.

With the glorious 96-year tradition of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, along with the spirit of solidarity - innovation - creativity - high determination, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Thai Thu Xuong believes that the Standing Committee and Executive Committee of the Can Tho City Labor Federation will continue to promote the achievements, seize opportunities, overcome challenges, and successfully implement targets and tasks in 2025, contributing positively to the completion of targets of the Resolution of the City Party Congress to achieve achievements to celebrate the Party Congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Congress of the Party.
