On May 29, at Dong Thap Labor Cultural House, Emulation Cluster No. 10, the Northern Provinces of Hau River held a preliminary conference to review the Trade Union activities in the first 5 -month -2025 monthly union. Attending the event were Mr. Dinh Van Dung - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Thap province, along with representatives of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL), the Labor Confederations of 6 provinces in the North of Hau River, including: Dong Thap, Long An, Tien Giang, Ben Tre, Tra Vinh and Vinh Long.
After his welcoming speech at the conference, Mr. Dinh Van Dung affirmed the importance of trade union activities and the workers' movement in the development of the local socio-economy, especially contributing to the journey to build a friendly, accompanying and serving the people of Dong Thap government...
Following that, many agreement said that, with the attention and timely guidance of the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the Provincial Party Committee, the 6 provincial Labor Confederation has constantly renewed the content and method of operation in the direction of focusing on implementing the task targets of Vietnam Labor Federation assigned. The highlight is the establishment of the grassroots trade union in enterprises with 20 employees or more, reaching 117.6%; New real admission increased by 31,415; raising the total number of union members in the cluster to 830.103/849.572 workers and employees, reaching 97.71%; fostering and introducing 4,474/8,328 elite members for the Party to consider, thereby being admitted by the Party Committee 1,935 party members; Support and guidance on grassroots trade unions to negotiate and sign a collective labor agreement reaching 261.6%.
Especially with the motto "All union members and workers have Tet", the "Tet Sum Vay - Xuan Ung Deng" program of the 6 provincial trade unions at all levels has coordinated with heads and business owners to focus on caring for and supporting union members and workers, with an amount of nearly 2,000 billion VND; supporting the construction and repair of 200 new Trade Union Shelters for union members with housing difficulties to stabilize their lives, work with peace of mind, work, production...
