The work was born from a special working trip organized by the Navy, bringing delegations from many sectors and fields - including the banking sector - to visit the Truong Sa archipelago and the DK1 Shipyard.

During the days on the military ship overcoming the storm, every moment left a deep impression. It is a solemn flag-raising ceremony in the open sea, a row of trees growing on the island, a love of the people with glue and paint, and especially the image of the Navy soldiers resiliently sticking to the sea, protecting each piece of land and each piece of sea of the Fatherland.

It was these sacred experiences that aroused in Dr. Dao Minh Tu a deep emotion, urging him to write poems containing love for his homeland, national pride and gratitude for the soldiers at the head of the storm.

Those emotional verses were set to music by musician Le Xuan Hoa, becoming a song of great singing, resounding with a strong and heroic skin, spreading the message of love for the sea and islands and the will to protect the sacred sovereignty of the country.

The work was born and published on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the success of the August Revolution, National Day September 2 has become a meaningful spiritual gift, contributing to arousing in every Vietnamese heart the love of the Fatherland; arousing the strong belief in the path that Uncle Ho and the nation have chosen.
