Da Nang City People's Council donated more than 100 million VND to support people to overcome floods
Da Nang - The City People's Council has launched a fundraising campaign to support communes and wards in the city to overcome the consequences and damage caused by the recent floods.
On the morning of November 11, at the 4th Session (Special Session) of the 10th Da Nang City People's Council, term 2021-2026, the People's Council launched a fundraising campaign to support communes and wards in the city to overcome the consequences and damage caused by the recent floods.
Speaking at the launching ceremony, Vice Chairman of the City People's Council Doan Ngoc Hung Anh said that Da Nang City has just experienced a historic flood, causing landslides and flooding, damaging many constructions and crops and greatly affecting people's lives, especially in riverside areas, low-lying areas and mountainous areas.
Promoting the tradition of solidarity, humanity and affection of Da Nang people, the Standing Committee of the City People's Council called on all delegates attending the session to join hands to contribute to support people affected by natural disasters, helping people soon stabilize their lives and restore production.
"Every sharing, every contribution is a testament to the spirit of "mutual love" and shows our responsibility and affection for the community. This is also the strength to help Da Nang overcome difficulties and continue to develop sustainably," emphasized the Vice Chairman of the City People's Council.
Chairman of the City People's Council Nguyen Duc Dung presented the donation to the City Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee to support the affected people.
This donation has mobilized more than 100 million VND, transferred to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city to promptly allocate to households and areas that suffered heavy damage.
