New development phase for the movement of workers, civil servants, and laborers
Hanoi On October 22, the Yen So Ward Trade Union held its 1st Congress, marking a new development stage for the movement of workers, civil servants and laborers.
The first Congress, term 2025 - 2030, had the participation of 139 delegates representing nearly 2,500 union members in the area. The Congress is responsible for assessing the situation of workers, civil servants, and laborers; determining goals, targets, directions, tasks, and solutions for trade union work for the 2025-2030 term; giving opinions on the Draft Document of the 18th Hanoi City Trade Union Congress and amending and supplementing the Charter of the Vietnam Trade Union.
The Congress also appointed the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, Inspection Committee and positions of Ward Trade Union, term I, 2025 - 2030; appointed delegates to attend the Hanoi City Trade Union Congress.
The report at the Congress showed that immediately after being established according to the two-level government model, the Yen So Ward Trade Union quickly stabilized its organization, proactively deployed work, and carefully prepared for the Congress. Those efforts demonstrate the sense of responsibility, enthusiasm and courage of the Union cadres right from the first steps.
Currently, Yen So Ward Trade Union is managing 25 grassroots trade unions with nearly 2,500 union members. In the context of workers increasingly diverse in their occupations, qualifications and working conditions, the Ward Union determined to proactively innovate the content and methods of operation, flexibly adapt and lead the movement of workers, civil servants and laborers to develop sustainably.
The Congress agreed on many specific and practical targets for the 2025 - 2030 term, including: Every year completing and exceeding the target of establishing grassroots trade unions and developing union members; over 90% of grassroots trade unions meeting good classification standards; 100% of grassroots trade union officials are trained and fostered in skills and expertise; 85% of enterprises with trade unions carry out negotiation, signing and supervision of collective labor agreements, of which at least 50% achieve type B or higher; 70% of enterprises and non-public units organize conferences of workers and dialogues at the workplace; 100% of documents and data are digitized in management and operation.
In addition, the Congress also proposed 3 breakthroughs and 6 key tasks and solutions to innovate Trade Union activities, improve the material and spiritual life of union members and workers, and affirm the position of the Trade Union organization as a reliable support and companion to workers.
