Lam Dong Trade Union members actively beautify streets in the hot sun
Lam Dong More than 100 union members of Dong Thuy Company Limited have just participated in Saturday for a bright, green, clean, beautiful environment in their hometown.
Under the harsh sun (8.31) in Duc Trong commune (Lam Dong), Ms. Nguyen Thi Ben tirelessly collects waste on the streets. The sweat has coveted the back of her shirt, but her hands are still moving each beat of grass and picking up each piece of paper.
Ms. Ben said that she is a member of the Trade Union of Dong Thuy Company Limited, participating in the activity "Saturday for a bright, green, clean, beautiful environment".
She was accompanied by more than 100 other union members. Although everyone's face was red and swety, no one wanted to stop. The sound of bamboo brooms and laughter echoed throughout the streets.
"We are very proud to wear the union jersey to participate in this community activity. Hopefully, union members can contribute a small part, keeping the environment and streets clean and beautiful," Ms. Ben excitedly shared.
Chairman of the Trade Union of Dong Thuy Company Limited - Mr. Le Van Hoan said that this is a regular activity of the unit participating with the locality. Every week, the union launches a campaign for union members to voluntarily register to participate in cleaning the environment and streets.
According to Mr. Hoan, the program "Saturday for a bright, green, clean, and beautiful environment" this time is even more meaningful for the trade union organization, union members, and workers.
Because through this activity, awareness of environmental sanitation has been spread to the community, together towards the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day (September 2).
