The Party Committee of the General Confederation of Labor will continue to lead the Trade Union organization to become stronger and stronger

The Party Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor has ensured the dissemination, synchronous and effective implementation of the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's laws and policies in the entire trade union system. In particular, during the implementation period of Resolution No. 60-NQ/TW dated April 12, 2025 of the Central Executive Committee on continuing to innovate the organization and operation of Vietnam Trade Union, the Party Committee of the General Confederation of Labor has been proactive and determined in directing and operating.

The process of arranging and streamlining the trade union apparatus at all levels has been carried out methodically, both ensuring the principles of organization and focusing on stabilizing the ideology of cadres and union members, maintaining internal solidarity, and not causing great disruption in activities.

Under the direction and guidance of the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the Vietnam Science and Technology Trade Union (VTC) in the past term has also proactively innovated the content and methods of operation in a practical and effective manner.

As of July 1, 2025, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor manages 246 grassroots trade unions with 87,895 union members; in which, it directly directs 54 affiliated trade unions, including 3 trade unions at the grassroots level and 51 affiliated grassroots trade unions; during the term, it has successfully directed and organized trade union congresses at all levels for the 2023-2028 term.

The grassroots trade union of the enterprise sector coordinates with the unit's leaders to organize periodic dialogues to negotiate and sign collective labor agreements, gradually improve working conditions, ensure occupational safety and health, and improve the material and spiritual life of union members and workers. Organize many activities to care for union members and workers such as supporting employees on the occasion of Lunar New Year with a total amount of over 3 billion VND/year; supporting 278 million VND for Workers' Month; 678 million VND for the month of gratitude; periodic health check-ups for 63,049 people...

The Vietnam General Confederation of Labor has more than 20,000 initiatives and technical improvements applied in practice with a total value of VND100,000 billion. 253,508 union members and employees have studied to improve their qualifications and professional skills; 1,089 union officials have been trained in union skills.

Entering the 2025-2030 term, I expect the Party Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to continue to promote its comprehensive leadership role, maintaining its position as the political core at the Central agency of the Trade Union organization. In the context of the country's increasingly deep integration and strong digital transformation, the Party Committee needs to continue to innovate leadership methods, improve the quality of cadres and party members; direct trade unions at all levels to play a good role in representing and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of workers.

I believe that, with steadfast political will, a spirit of innovation, creativity and determination to act, the Party Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor will lead the Vietnam Trade Union to become increasingly strong, actively contributing to the cause of socio-economic development and building a modern and strong working class in the new era.
