The 1st Da Nang City Trade Union Congress, term 2025-2030, will take place in mid-December 2025

The conference was chaired by Comrade Thai Thu Xuong - Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Comrade Nguyen Xuan Hung - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor. Also attending were representatives of the leaders of the Labor Relations Department, the Trade Union Working Department and the Congress Working Group.

On the side of the Da Nang City Labor Federation, there were comrades Phan Thi Thuy Linh - Member of the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, City Party Committee member, President of the City Labor Federation; comrades in the Standing Committee and leaders of the Trade Union Working Committee.

The conference is an important preparation step, creating a foundation for the first Da Nang City Trade Union Congress to take place according to the plan and requirements.

Reporting at the Conference, Comrade Phan Thi Thuy Linh said that the preparation for the Congress has been basically completed; documents, records and conditions for organization have been carefully prepared. According to the plan, the Congress is scheduled to take place in mid-December 2025.

At the discussion session, delegates highly appreciated the initiative and sense of responsibility of the Da Nang City Labor Federation in drafting documents and perfecting conditions to serve the Congress. The congress documents meet the requirements of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; political reports closely follow the instructions, fully reflecting the results of the 2023-2025 period.

Concluding the Conference, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Thai Thu Xuong praised the Da Nang City Labor Federation for carefully preparing documents, records and personnel plans to submit to the Congress. At the same time, it is recommended that the City Labor Federation absorb all comments at the Conference and the Working Group; continue to invest in completing the system of solutions in the political report, and at the same time develop an action program and projects to be discussed at the Congress.

The City Labor Federation also needs to arrange discussion content on documents of the 14th Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, term 2026-2031; review targets, personnel records and send a report on acceptance and explanation to the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.

The working group will advise on issuing a notice of the Conference's conclusion so that the Da Nang City Labor Federation can continue to complete preparations for the Congress.
