Can Tho College Trade Union has a new chairman

On November 28, the Can Tho College Trade Union held its 18th Congress for the 2025-2030 term.

During the past term, the Executive Committee (EC) of the Trade Union has coordinated with the Board of Directors of the School to conduct well the visit and subsidy for those in difficulty, illness, family life, New Year's gifts, Children's International, Mid-Autumn Festival, Vietnam Trade Union Day... with a total amount of nearly 610 million VND.

The grassroots trade union also coordinates with companies and medical centers to check the health of union members and relatives; Maintain the work of mobilizing the construction of mutual support funds and contributing revolving capital in trade union groups.

The unit widely deploys to union members, civil servants, and workers (DV, VC-NLD) about mutual love and support. Thereby, 100% of union members and employees participated in contributing to the Golden Heart Fund, the Fund for the Poor; Supporting areas affected by natural disasters, floods, etc. with a total amount of nearly 139 million VND.

The members and employees have actively participated in scientific research, initiatives, improvements, and experiences with economic and social values, contributing to the overall development of the school.

Speaking at the Congress, Ms. Le Thi Suong Mai - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL), Member of the City Party Committee, Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city, President of the Can Tho City Labor Federation - acknowledged the enthusiastic and responsible contributions of the school's staff and employees.

Entering the new term, with opportunities and challenges, the Chairman of the Can Tho City Labor Federation requested the School Union to focus on caring for, protecting the rights and stabilizing the ideology of VC-NLD during the reorganization period; Accompanying in improving the quality of the team, meeting the requirements of the city's education development; Promoting the role of the Union in educational innovation and building a civilized working environment; Actively participating in Party building, building a strong school.

The Congress elected 9 comrades to the Executive Committee of the new term Trade Union; elected 1 official delegate and 1 alternate delegate to attend the 1st Congress of the Can Tho City Trade Union, term 2025-2030. Mr. Vu Quoc Quang was elected Chairman of the Truong Trade Union for the 2025-2030 term.
