As soon as the decision was made, all cadres of the Quang Tri Provincial Federation of Labor (old) quickly moved to the new provincial administrative center to immediately get to work. At the emergency meeting, Mr. Nguyen The Lap thoroughly grasped the working spirit: Not for the reason of merger, neglecting is a task, especially the work of caring for and protecting the rights of union members and workers.

According to the new decision, the district-level Trade Union is no longer there, so the Quang Tri Provincial Federation of Labor directly directs and supports grassroots trade union activities. Mr. Nguyen The Lap requested all provincial union officials to stay close to the area and accompany workers and laborers, especially on the occasion of the 96th anniversary of the Vietnam Trade Union in July.

Each member of the Standing Committee and Executive Committee must take on specific responsibility. In particular, in difficult areas, far from the center, if there are no hard-working cadres of the province participating, the operation will be easily interrupted" - Mr. Lap said.

To specify that requirement, the Quang Tri Provincial Federation of Labor has made a list of cadres assigned to each cluster of areas. For example, the area cluster from Cam Lo commune to Lao Bao commune, more than 100km from the provincial administrative center, will have 2 to 3 responsible officials, including a comrade from the Standing Committee or the Provincial Federation of Labor Executive Committee to work with experts to closely follow the grassroots and resolve any arising issues.

Focus on developing union members, taking care of workers

Not only stabilizing the apparatus, the Provincial Federation of Labor also prioritizes focusing on mobilizing union members, establishing new grassroots unions, improving the quality of union meals and meals, and promptly paying attention to difficult circumstances. At the same time, step up propaganda, grasp the situation of labor relations in each enterprise, to prevent disputes and spontaneous work stoppages.

After the merger, the new Quang Tri Provincial Federation of Labor will be under the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Quang Tri province, maintaining 2 departments with more than 40 cadres. The total number of employees in the new province is more than 40,000 people, operating at hundreds of grassroots unions.

According to comrade Nguyen The Lap, in the coming time, the Trade Union organization will continue to innovate its methods of operation, taking the grassroots as the center, and union members as the subject. Each provincial Trade Union official must clearly define its pioneering role, not only maintaining a stable organizational rhythm but also arousing the spirit of solidarity and trust of employees during the period of many administrative changes.

In July, the Quang Tri Provincial Federation of Labor will organize a series of activities to celebrate the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union, combine propaganda, give gifts to support union members and workers in difficulty and launch emulation movements to celebrate the model of the provincial Trade Union organization after the merger.
