Lao Cai Trade Union builds a cultural working environment

In the 2021-2025 period, Lao Cai Provincial Federation of Labor has directed trade unions at all levels to thoroughly grasp and synchronously implement documents guiding the movement "All people unite to build a cultural life", associated with building "Cultural standard agencies, units and enterprises". Propaganda work has been innovated in form and content, through conferences and trade union activities.

100% of direct superior trade unions at the grassroots level focus on propagating and mobilizing union members and employees to practice ethics and lifestyle; raise awareness of law compliance and labor discipline; build a culture of behavior in the office and workplace; implement communication standards associated with studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style.

Along with that is the promotion of implementing grassroots democracy regulations, building a healthy cultural environment in cyberspace; spreading "good information, beautiful stories", contributing to the formation of a civilized and modern lifestyle among employees.

A highlight is the organization of diverse cultural, artistic, physical education and sports activities at the grassroots level. Many playgrounds have become annual activities, attracting a large number of union members such as: Workers' Singing Festival, Teachers' Singing Festival, Medicine Industry Dance Festival, Workers' Sports Tournament, People's Teachers' Volleyball Tournament, Excellent Female Workers' Competition...

At the same time, new models and good practices have been replicated such as "Digital Workers", "Happy Grassroots Trade Unions", "Good at public work, good at housework", "Skilled Mass Mobilization", "Creative Workers Entering the New Era" ... have contributed to improving spiritual life, arousing the desire to contribute among workers.

Implementing Decision No. 2214/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister and the instructions of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Lao Cai Provincial Federation of Labor has coordinated with agencies, units and enterprises to register to build a title of cultural standard. Every year, 100% of administrative agencies, public service units and about 85% of enterprises with trade unions participate in registration.

In 2024 alone, the Lao Cai Provincial Federation of Labor reviewed and recognized 2,556 agencies, units and enterprises meeting cultural standards for the 2023-2024 period in the two provinces of Lao Cai and Yen Bai (before the merger).

Notably, Lao Cai Provincial Federation of Labor was also assigned to be the investor to build a Trade Union Sports and Physical Training Center with a total cost of 58.5 billion VND, contributing to the completion of cultural institutions, meeting the living and training needs of employees.

In the coming time, Lao Cai provincial trade unions at all levels will continue to promote propaganda, proactively coordinate to build units and enterprises that meet cultural standards associated with emulation movements; replicate advanced models, contributing to building an advanced Vietnamese people and cultural environment imbued with national identity.
