Lao Cai - In the first 6 months of the year, trade unions at all levels in the province have actively cared for workers.
On June 13, Lao Cai Provincial Federation of Labor held the 11th Executive Committee Conference (EC) for the 2023-2028 term, summarizing the activities of the first 6 months of the year, and deploying tasks for the last 6 months of the year.
Speaking at the opening of the conference, Mr. Dang Dinh Chung - Chairman of Lao Cai Provincial Labor Federation - emphasized that in the first 6 months of 2025, activities to care for the lives of union members, workers and social activities were focused on, promptly encouraged and supported workers, civil servants and laborers in difficult circumstances.
Lao Cai Provincial Federation of Labor is managing 12 higher-level unions, with more than 1,200 grassroots unions and more than 44,000 union members.
According to statistics, in the first 6 months of the year, Lao Cai provincial trade unions at all levels supported more than 37,000 union members and workers with a total amount of over 45 billion VND.
"In general, activities to care for union members and workers contribute to sharing and enhancing solidarity and attachment of workers to the trade union organization. Propaganda for union members, civil servants and workers is increasingly focused on. The work of streamlining the apparatus is also being implemented synchronously", the Chairman of Lao Cai Provincial Labor Federation assessed.
At the conference, trade union units discussed the work of caring for and protecting the rights and interests of workers.
At the same time, propose and discuss solutions and solutions in arranging and streamlining the apparatus, ending the operation of many trade union units to operate more effectively and efficiently.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Hoang Giang - Deputy Secretary of Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee - highly appreciated the results achieved by Lao Cai trade unions at all levels in the first 6 months of 2025. Including activities to propagate and disseminate to workers about the work of arranging and merging provinces in the new period.
The Deputy Secretary of Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee suggested that in the coming time, the Provincial Labor Federation should continue to innovate with Yen Bai to jointly care for the material and spiritual life of workers, completing the set targets for developing union members.
Also at the program, many outstanding cadres, union members, and collectives were awarded certificates of merit and emulation flags for their outstanding achievements in trade union work.
