Grassroots trade unions organize a walking program to raise funds to support disadvantaged people
HCMC - The Trade Union of Sonion II Vietnam Co., Ltd. coordinated with enterprises to organize a sports program to raise funds to support union members in difficult circumstances.
On September 3, Area Management Working Group No. 5 (Group 5) of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation said that a grassroots trade union in the area has developed a plan to organize the program Walking to raise funds to support union members in difficult circumstances in 2025.
That is a program organized by the Trade Union of Sonion II Vietnam Co., Ltd., with a total budget of about 80 million VND, including 40 million VND from the grassroots trade union and 40 million VND from the supporting enterprise.
Union members and workers will register in a team of 2 people; for each completed km of a team, 1,500 VND will be contributed to the accompanying fund. Participating teams also received attractive gifts from the organizing committee.
The program takes place from September 7 to September 28, for all union members and employees of Sonion II Vietnam Co., Ltd. to participate, taking place in the company premises with both online and offline running forms.
According to the Organizing Committee, the program aims to enhance the spirit of physical exercise, improve the health of union members and workers, contribute to collective solidarity, and spread the movement of a healthy lifestyle. At the same time, responding to the walking movement to raise funds to support union members in difficult circumstances.
